Who doesn’t love summer? It’s a time for relaxation, fun, and exploration. But as amazing as summer can be, there are a few must-have items that will ensure your summer reaches its peak. We’ve narrowed it down to the top five best accessories for summer.
1 Lifeproof Case
Whether you’re rocking an iPhone or an Android, Lifeproof offers an amazing phone case that will keep your phone protected from dirt, shock, water, and every other obstacle your adventures lead you into this summer.
The Lifeproof case is among the most popular phone cases due to its durability while also maintaining a slim, non-bulky fit. The case will run you anywhere from $59- $119 depending on the type of phone you have and the style of case you choose. While the case does run more on the pricey side, it’s a small price to pay to keep your phone safe from all the elements. Lifeproof also offers outstanding warranties.
2 Personal Hammock
The personal hammock is a relatively new concept which incorporates the comfort of a hammock into an easily portable bag. My favorite brand of personal hammock is Grizzly Peak. These hammocks are extremely durable and retail for significantly less than other brands.
These hammocks can easily be set up in under five minutes between almost any two trees or posts. Whether you’re planning a hike or just hanging out at home, a personal hammock is sure to bring relaxation to your next summer day!
3 Portable Speaker
Everyone loves listening to their favorite tunes on a summer day, so why not pick up a Bluetooth speaker for your next activity? offers a waterproof and shockproof speaker that you can pick up for $39 on Amazon. Getting a non waterproof Bluetooth speaker will cost you around $15- $29.
While I’m all for saving money, I would recommend the waterproof option for $10 more. You never know where your summer adventures will take you, and more than likely you will run into the water at some point! Having a Bluetooth speaker means music on the go and best of all, it ensures that you are always DJ!
4 Bike
Even if biking isn’t your thing, its never too late to get started! Whether you live in the city, the suburbs, or the country; biking is a great summer activity. Go check out your local garage sales or thrift shops, and more than likely you will be able to find a good bike for under $30!
Not only does biking offer the opportunity to explore with friends, it also makes for amazing exercise! What better way to spend free time then participating in a fun and interactive sport that is also sure to keep your body in great summer shape!
5 Sunglasses
It’s an obvious fact that summer days get ridiculously bright, so what better way to deal with them then by picking up a new pair of shades? We all have our favorite pairs of sunglasses we love to rock, but picking up a new style is a great way to amp up your summer.
Try a new style, a new color, a new brand. Sunglasses are a great expression of your attitude, so play around with styles and try something different! If you’re in the market for a long term pair, head over to Rayban’s or Costa Del Mar’s website! But if you want to just play around with fun styles and colors, head over to your local supermarket or drug store and grab a pair or two for under $10!
These accessories are sure to put an exciting spin on your summer without breaking the bank!
